The generalization is so relentlessly inserted within the public imagination that the very mention of Bihar brings to mind, pictures of a political jungle raj and poor economic status. This unfortunate image has been covering minds for decades now. By 2004, The Economist magazine said that “Bihar [had] become a byword for the worst of India, of widespread and inescapable poverty, of corrupt politicians indistinguishable from mafia-dons they patronize, caste-ridden social order that has retained the worst feudal cruelties” The true picture of Bihar is quite the reverse. Since the late 1970s, Bihar has lagged far behind other Indian states regarding social and economic development for various reasons. But from 2004 to 2015, Bihar emerged as the fastest-growing state in India, clocking over 10 percent annual growth for the past decade and, in the process, more than doubling its economy. The state was once known for its education, religious influence, culture, and art. In order to develop the state socially and economically, it is important to change the image of the state by making the citizens aware of the significant history and future. This can be done by influencing the most active community that is the youth of the state. By providing a place they can call home, where they can learn and be prepared to face any challenges in the society. Despite progressive economic growth, human development challenges in the State are many and require growth momentum to be continued for years to achieve the desired level of sustainable development.- Bihar Government. The Objective of the dissertation is to design a self-sufficient skill development centre in Bihar to evoke a sense of growth and connection within the people while providing resources to develop skills and acquire employment without migrating out of the state. The proposal is very relevant in today’s time as it is the need of the hour. By educating and developing the youth about industrial skills and artforms(that Bihar is known for), we are not only providing quality learnings and employment opportunities but also taking a step towards changing the image of Bihar. Parmeshwar avanim18@aoamumbai.in siddhartha18@aoamumbai.in vinaye18@aoamumbai.in wiprag18@aoamumbai.in : : : : : : : : : Competition Brief: The aim of the competition was to design a 200 bed Covid hospital which is to be built in 100 days. Narrative: The architectural value of the design mainly lies in creating a happy and spirited atmosphere for its users in times of loss of hope. The concept takes root in symbolism, taking inspiration from the chemical compound of serotonin, the hormone that stabilizes our feelings of happiness.Flexibility was kept at the helm of the design owing to the unpredictability of the times. The structure is planned with repeating floor plates and efficient services that helps in inverting and expanding the use of spaces in case of adversities. The scheme was fast track construction. Hence, phases of construction were set adhering up to a 100 day timeline. A hybrid construction technique was opted for to achieve the desired form in minimum time. The steel details were designed feasible and comprehensive to even laymen to pave way for maximum workforce. The structure entails a horizontal spread and a vibrant, staggered façade. Central voids were created in the hospital blocks to provide for courtyards and increase active facades. The varied fronts and levels give a sense of dynamism to the form, drawing keen parallelism to the nature of the pandemic.Ultimately, the aim of the design is to keep everyone apart, yet together.

Both companies believe in research and the development of new, innovative ideas, proposals not only for projects but also for self-research and recommendations to government and private organizations. When we compare international and Indian firms, we can see that both have a more stratified hierarchy and authority, with specific tasks assigned to each member, whereas in a smaller firm, multitasking is common, and such specific boundaries are blurred. There is a disparity in the number of workers. MVVA primarily works on public and government projects, utilizing its large size and superior technologies to design the entire project in a shorter period. Satish Khanna Associates, on the other hand, works on a greater number of private-public projects and employs less technology, necessitating a prolonged design phase. Context and community play a bigger role in MVVA. Satish Khanna is an associate on the landscape that supports the architecture, and they work on autonomous land key initiatives such as parks. Finally, even though the two firms are based in different countries and contexts, we can see similarities in the way they operate. Case Study Satish Khanna Associates and MVVA

These spaces are less focused on productivity all-in-all they are different physical components coming together to facilitate the implementation of abstracted functions of a particular mobile application. Amazon app is a part of the e-commerce industry and one of the largest online retailers with the vision of Earth's most customer-centric company and to build a place where people come to find and discover anything they might want to buy online. The space developed is for the Amazon app, where Filter and Discount are the core functions employed in the design. The concepts showcasing the feature of 'filter' were to show variation, Radiation, Similarity, narrowing down, Common region, Accuracy, swift, and that of 'Discount' was Ease and Inbuilt. The space features different slits of filters, each with a different mechanism and human interaction. Discount, as a function, has been developed using two distinct pathways - one being an ordinary way while the other slightly elevated, making the child travel a greater distance and apply greater strength to reach near the main screen. This design is suitable in a kindergarten, where the children can use it to play. SET GO

Narrative: The theme of Sexual orientation under the umbrella theme of inclusivity arose from a slinky. It is a spiraled spring toy that creates beautiful flexible patterns of blending colors when it is played with. This is one perspective to look at Sexual orientation- not always permanent with beautiful fluid blending. Furthermore, when it comes to the roles we take up in society, these need to highlight not our labels but our contributions towards the growth of it all. Today, many humans have gone beyond educational stereotypes purely based on their prowesses. This needs to be acknowledged and encouraged.
