Saurabh Mhatre, Ar. Harshada Shintre : : : : : : : : : : : This studio addresses the Geometric nature of the world around us and takes radical steps to help identify the same. These inferences are then decoded in a drawing format to generate a critical conversation governing the visual language all around us. I explored certain grid patterns and tried to create a hybrid from those 'generating complex' patterns. Thus, we were introduced to a set of 3 illustrations that each focus on the technical (figure building), spatial (landscape), and social (occupational event) aspects of spaces. I selected the Hejduk Diamond Museum for the figure building, Neue National Gallery as the landscape element, and Ice Hockey as the occupational event. Resonating these three aspects along with the hybrid grid generated, I juxtaposed all four elements to finally ideate on a representational medium that captures this particular GRIDSCAPE. The Four Hybrid Grids Are Made Using The Base Grids Of Ann Thorncroft, Kapitza And Lionel March. Each Of The Hybdrid Grid Has A Logic Of Picking Elements From One Grid And Repetition Pattern From Another Grid. This Led To Formation Of Several Patterns Using The Same 3 Base Drawings. The Final Grid Drawing- Cityscapes, Is A Illustration Of One Of These Hybrid Grids And 3 Illustration Of O M Ungers, Ian Leonidov And Notes Of Eno Music. The Final Grid Is A Illustration Of A Typical City Scape With Builtforms Of Various Scales, Vegetation, A River Cutting Along The City And The Roads. The Roads Hold The Notes Of Music Indicating The Events Or Life Happening In The City. Previous Next Taxonomy Of Grids 7

Narrative: A Wellness center is a very essential part for people in this urban society due to the integrated health solutions they provide to both mind and body. Location plays a very important part in the making of any wellness center. Here, our location is the city of Alappuzha in the state of Kerala, India. As this city is located near the waterfront, it creates the perfect setting along with the tropical climate. It is a place with less amount of population that adds up to the beauty of the site and the overall motive of this project. We start with the basic idea of proposing such spaces that respond to such a setting and are designed to allow the maximum amount of natural light and ventilation. All the buildings are centered with a courtyard and many green pockets that create breathing space and a kind of openness in the plot. There is an emphasis on earthy elements such as the use of stone, timber, natural fences. The horizontal expanse of the structure is well balanced with the verticality of the planes formed by the diverse vegetation. We are also proposing congregation spaces for users where they could get some hands-on experiences and help them connect more with nature. Along with this, things like comfort, accessibility, and aesthetics are equally paid attention to. The path gradients are very carefully calculated to minimize fatigue and provide subtle pause points. Gardens are proposed to encourage walking as a form of exercise and act as a barrier from urban noise and smoke.

In such a case, how can a physical space be made more diversified and useful to living creatures in order to foster an intimate relationship between space, its users and the city as a whole? This thesis seeks to investigate the potential of urban built environment as a medium for build a synergial life-space-technology relationship. To utilize the synergy between the physical realities and digital existence to make spaces for the living, to promote accessibility to the medium and creating a cohesive city Identity. This will be achieved – By establishing public spaces that can enhance the living mind and engage people on multiple levels. By allowing the user to define their own spaces. By integrating the experiences of the digital to the physical. By instilling a sense of public space in its true sense, and by allowing living creatures to interact with the built environment through various mediums. Rishi Vora, Ar. Mehul Sanghvi : : : : : : : : : : : Acting is a dynamic and creative profession which calls for socialization and interaction with varied people , surroundings , and even our own selves. Nature follows guidelines similar to that of Evolution such that a species lifecycle through generations tallies with an ASPIRING ACTOR’S journey. It can be observed that both, a species or a newbie have to ADAPT to the new cultural environment which may or may not be in accordance with their comfort. Herein, EVOLUTION plays its role. The initial struggles and efforts of the artist are accompanied with a number of anecdotes that provide exposure to the art of understanding and evolving with respect to the demands of diverse roles , which is then followed by SELF IDENTIFICATION of his/her SUITABILITY towards a genre after multiple trials, as every actor is not suitable for every role, but SPECIFIC to one . In both cases it is an EXPLORATIVE process wherein both REJECTION and SELECTION occurs. Complying to the above factors, an evolutionary form should not only aim towards accepting the persona of the user but also rejecting inefficient traits in order to flourish the Suitability of the artist with respect to his/her Self- Identification in the profession , this can also be viewed with the lens of Discipline.
