The interlinking of rivers is a large-scale project that aims at managing the water resources in India by linking the Indian rivers by a huge and thoroughly thought network of canals and reservoirs. The study presented here talks about the project itself, how it came into being, what are the problems that are faced while carrying out this project and what is the current status of the said project. Although this project is very ambitious, it requires a solid base on which it can further be developed. This can be brought about by carrying out a feasible survey of the whole area, figuring out the obstructions and producing different solutions regarding the same.
