Competition Brief:
The aim of the competition is to design an Entry Gate which acts as a landmark to the city of Risali.
Narrative:
THE GATEWAY & CIRCLE is a conceptual design for an Open Competition conducted by IIA.
The competitors were asked to design or enhance the site of Late Rajiv Gandhi Chowk and Entrance Gateway for the newly formed Municipal Corporation- Resali (Bhilai)
The form of Gateway is derived from a rigid cube that is molding itself into an elegant structure to support the overarching space frame, signifying one of the aspects- Transformation.
The form of the circular roundabout has a hierarchy, signifying one of the aspects- Progress, adding visual interest to the form.
